High temperature gel permeation chromatography (HT-GPC) data on commercial sourced EVA, POE, and EPE encapsulants used in the D2 program. GPC measures the number-averaged molecular weights and the weight-averaged molecular weights of the soluble fractions of crosslinked polymers. Here, we show that GPC cannot reliably determine molecular weight differences for these crosslinked encapsulant thermosets.

We subjected the encapsulants to a variety of aging conditions to see if molecular weights of encapsulants would decrease with aging duration. Condition A is 90 Celsius, 22% RH, without UV. Condition B is 90 Celsius, inert sealed N2 environment, without UV.
