Abstract Advanced design methodology in which materials, manufacturing processes and form factors are coinvestigated will be applied to the discovery of polymer materials new to PV which are suitable for low cost, high throughput manufacturing. Performance expressions/equations optimizing module design attributes will be developed State of the art, simulation / software tools will be applied.
These materials selection methods are new to PV encapsulation development, methods only recently initiated in SNL for national security technologies.
